FOURCADE WINS SPRINT. SHIPULIN FINISHES SECOND

The leader of the World Cup total score Martin Fourcade finished first in men’s sprint of the Biathlon World Cup Final in Khanty-Mansiysk.

Anton Shipulin is on the second position showing very fast skiing in the race. Benedikt Doll of Germany wins bronze.

LS3A2400In his short comment after the race Anton Shipulin gave a brief interview to the media centre of the competitions. “Today I have met Martin Fourcade before the race and he said me “Come on. Do your best” — said the silver medalist. He has also mentioned that he has already prepared a birthday present to his friend Dmitry Malyshko who turns 28 today. ”We will meet tonight and have tea with a birthday cake”, — informed the biathlete.

LS3A2586As for the results of other Russian athletes, they are not so impressive. Tsvetkov finished 14th, Volkov is 24th at finish. Other athletes are not in top-30.

On March’20 women’s sprint will be held in the capital of Ugra. Contact races will take place on March’21 and March’22. Almost all the tickets for these races are already sold.
